What is it?
The Daily Cure for me is trying to smell taste touch—really experience— something, each day, that reminds me that I'm alive and, mostly, happy to be here. A small moment that should go a long way, at least in theory.-

That says it all
Excellent interactive feature in the New York Times today about the use of hand gestures in Italian communication. Too good to be described, so I’ll just give you the link: A Short Lexicon of Italian Hand Gestures. And here’s the … Continue reading
The Castle Cats and Memories of Delia
Last week, while taking my walk, I decided to zoom around inside the Castello Sforzesco to see what was up. I often go through it, imagining what court life must have been like confined, as it was, so rigidly to … Continue reading

[With the incessant rain, cold and greyness, a little silliness is definitely in order. That, and the unavoidable cliché: HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU KID!] Have a lovely day. I hope you are all squinting your eyes against a warm, benevolent … Continue reading

Hello, my dear friends. It’s been a while. Work, again. The usual reason for my absence. I hope you are all well and headed into a promising Spring. After weeks, nay, months of hard work, there is, in my opinion, … Continue reading

A House that is Love
I saw the film “I Am Love” when it came out in 2009. And though I appreciated—dare I say “loved”—the visual style of it, the movie itself left me a little cold. And yet…and yet…there was something about it that … Continue reading
