We can’t know how it would have played out, but one wonders who else might have worn the hat…Eleanor Roosevelt? Josephine Baker? Diana Vreeland? Jackie? Susan B. Anthony? And if they hadn’t, how would they have added their voices to the current struggle? We will all find our voices, I hope, and wear our hearts on our sleeves, heads and our magic flying capes.
Great stuff.
Thanks John! Where the heck are you and what are you up to?
This is great! Did you add the hats to these images? It’s brilliant! And, did you march? If so, where? I’d love to hear. Thank you.
I did add the hats! And I tried to march! I showed up to the designated piazza within the announced time frame and there was no one there. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! I had my daughter with me and we were like: What the?? So I went home and watched it live on NYT streaming and tried to spiritually connect with my friends marching around the world.
This is perfect! Wonderful and outstanding! Just brilliant!
Linda
Haven’t had any time to knit yet (plan on knitting 3 for me and the two daughters…we will be the only people in fashion-conscious Milan with pink pussycat hats)…so figured the least I could do was put my photoshop skills to use.
Thanks Linda!
Perfect and brilliant, I just love it. I wish I knew how to share this.
That’s very kind of you! You can put a link to it on your blog…but I can see how it might not fit there. Do you have a Facebook page? I don’t. But most of all, thanks for the kind words. I’m scheming a way to make the idea sharable.
Love it! I think they all would have (well maybe not Jackie initially, but eventually). I was sad I didn’t have a hat to wear at our March in Santa Cruz, even the dogs and little kids had them! I’m making one for the next march – because there will be more.
I am determined to knit hats for the two girls and myself. Milan is not really a pink knitted hat kinda place, but that will make them all the more fun. We’ll wear them around the house if we have to. Anyway, it’s COLD.
This is the first thing which has made me smile this morning! Thank you for your imagination at this dismal time!!
You are WELCOME!!
